Kevin Tita

Just two weeks after announcing during his interview on DAU 106.5 FM that he was almost done working on his EP, award winning rapper Kevin Tita has reportedly lost the entire songs meant for the album after a computer crash that happened in the studio he recorded the album in. he announced this on Facebook. In his statement, he took out time to appreciate all the love and support he has been getting from his fans in and out of Cyprus and hinted at dropping two new songs namely #WAIT and CashOut (remix) featuring MTV MAMA Award winning rapper, Stanley Enow. See his statement below.

Kevin Tita is currently one of the few artists keeping African music alive in Cyprus. He has released a slew of hit songs including the smash hit songs 'Grass To Grace', 'CashOut' and 'I Am The Man' as well as collaborations such as 'Million Dollar Movement' by JayBlinkz and the recently released 'Be Like Me'by Cyprus hip hop collective D.E.T. He added the award for Song Of The Year to his collection of awards after the song 'Million Dollar Movement' on which he was featured won the award for Song Of The Yearat the ASGA Awards this year, making it his 7th award since he came to Cyprus.

Hopefully he will recover the files or record the album all over again in time before the release date is due.

When business mogul and longtime entertainer, Mr Gbadamosi Tolulope decided to divert his business adeptness and music proficiency into the music industry, what we have is Music Mansion.

Music Mansion is a fledgling music label with a team of talented hands and heads working to make the new gem a worldwide an international music brand and household name.

The label was formed, officially, in the year 2016 but she has taken noteworthy and giant strides already. Her top music act,Tbone is currently working in the studio with YBNL's Chinko Ekun on a piquant single, ‘Underrate’.

Worthy to be watched out for is his similarly beautiful tune, ‘Loke’ set to be released later this month. Tbone who won video of the year at the ANAN Awards in Cyprus for his 2014 song, ‘Soundtrack’ and was also voted artiste of the year at the same event, was recently signed to the thriving label.

Gsoul is another thriving music act recently signed under the label.

With behind-the-scenes men like Vice President Olusoga Kehinde determined to make the world continually enjoy world-class tunes, it is obvious that Music Mansion is not another label merely here to test waters.

Music Mansion is here to stay, to the good fortune of music-loving Nigerians.

This is the definitive list of The 10 Hottest Rappers in Africa 2015!

All week, we’ve been counting down the hottest rappers in Africa at the moment; those with the hottest songs, endorsements, tours, record deals, mega moves on the local and international scene, the award winners, and in general, the people we’ve vibed to for the past 12 months.

This is, without question, the most comprehensive and competitive list yet. It covers the whole of Africa, as opposed to Nigeria which has been the norm since #TheList came into being.

Taking all the factors mentioned above into consideration, here’s #TheLIST as compiled by the team!

We look forward to more African rappers making major mainstream moves and, far more importantly, releasing quality music, EPs, Mixtapes and albums in 2016!
